I am a firm believer once you have suffered from depression you are always aware of it, you are conscious of the low moods and how destructive they can be. I wonder sometimes even after such a long time that when those low days are upon me how I will ever manage.
But I need to remind myself that I can cope and I know how to. I have in place ways to get me through the days and to get to the other side. I am not saying it is easy, it can certainly be a struggle but somehow I get there and it isn't as bad as I had first thought.
